Interview with BBC Radio Devon
February 23rd, 2010
The Judi Spiers show featured The Session 8 Band on BBC Radio Devon on Feb 23rd. The live interview went out the morning of the launch gig, with Judi’s usual lively and witty banter. Maggie Reeday performed a song from the band’s new album Mood Swings, singing That’s Too Bad Blues live with pianist George Cooper, who played on the band’s previous album Girl In Blue. Judi also played a CD track from Mood Swings entitled For The Times You Won’t Be There and chatted to Maggie and the band’s male vocalist Tim Murray and of course songwriter Les Veale. Les said afterwards, we were all thrilled to be invited to the BBC studio and chat to Judi, it was great fun.

The Session 8 Band featured as ‘Band of the Week’ at Exeter FM, between 8.00 & 9.00 pm on Monday 15th Feb. Presenter James Santer gave a very relaxed and friendly interview with band members Maggie Reeday and Craig Milverton and songwriter Les Veale. James also played several tracks from the band’s albums Girl in Blue and Mood Swings, with a good response from listeners, who were emailing the radio studio to say how good the tracks sounded and where can they buy the albums? James kindly directed all enquiries to The Session 8 Band’s website and rounded off by wishing the band good luck for their first live gig, which was only a week away at Mama Stones.
